Regulatory Project Manager (M/F)

Banque Internationale à Luxembourg is the oldest bank in Luxembourg. Founded in 1856, BIL is a key player in the Retail Banking, Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Treasury and Financial Markets. These businesses are backed up by strong Support functions and by our Operational departments.

We are currently looking for an:
Regulatory Project Manager (M/F)
BIL's Programme & Project Management Unit is responsible for the successful and timely delivery of strategic, bank-wide Business and IT projects and studies.    
The primary role of the successful candidate will be to deliver large transversal regulatory projects/programs in both Agile and Waterfall approach. He/she will ensure that the business solution delivered meets the project's objectives, is effectively and efficiently deployed within the bank and allows the realization of the set business benefits.
As a Regulatory Project Manager, you will share your Project Management expertise and experience with more junior Project Managers (mentoring) and thus contribute to our 3 year vision to be recognised as a centre of expertise for Project & Programme delivery.
Principal Activities
Within the responsibility of your function, you will:
- Manage the successful delivery of the entire project – in close collaboration with your Business and IT Lead - to time, budget, plan and quality and in accordance with BIL's project management methods, processes and policies;
- Manage the project/release scope, objectives and deliverables and set-up the required project/release structure and governance ;
- Plan and schedule the project/release according to the required milestones and target release date ;
- Define, maintain and actively follow-up on actions plans ;
- Manage and track project/release budget and expenditure ;
- Plan and manage the project/release' resource capacity and allocation ;
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues and change requests ;
- Define, coordinate and ensure implementation of the required communication and change management plan ;
- Provide direction and support to the project team ;
- Pro-actively take decisions or seek approval to ensure the project/release stays on track;
- Constantly monitor and report on project/release progress/KPI's to the Project Governance instances.


- Proven Project/Program Management experience (at least  7 years) ideally in complex environments with multiple partners and on regulatory related projects ;
- Excellent analytical skills, organized, rigorous, hands-on and meticulous. Affinity with regulatory topics within the financial sector  ;
- Strong business delivery focus.  Partner to the business (good understanding of the bank domains) ;
- Stress-resistant and excellent soft skills (communication, cross-cultural people management).  At ease in presenting to/negotiating with senior and executive management.  Strong team building skills ;   
- Fluent in English (must) and French, verbally and written ;
- Proficient with Ms Office tools (Ms Excel, Ms Access, Ms Powerpoint).  Experience with Clarity™ or any another Project & Portfolio Management tool considered an advantage ;
- PRINCE II, PMP or equivalent certified
