Our client is a locally incorporated investment management firm with a Capital Markets Services Licence. They invest in Asia Equities, ex Japan. Due to the introduction of a new strategy of systematic investing, they seek to hire a business development person who will be responsible for acquiring new clients and attracting new assets globally, focusing on institutional clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional from the investment management industry who is keen to make an impact in a growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for asset gathering, leading the entire sales life-cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and post sales service. You enjoy managing relationships with existing clients and providing a high quality of client service to ensure retention of assets.
In addition to the necessary qualifications and licences to perform a sales role in an investment management firm, you have 7- 10 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in raising assets from a multi-national client base. You have a robust understanding of funds from the technical aspects to risk and performance attribution. Your ability to understand the institutional clients’ investment needs and building a strong investment case for them is crucial in identifying the products that apply to specific clients.
