Role Summary

Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA ? We are looking for a Credit Analyst - Associate (f/m/d) to join our Corporate Banking team.
• The role of the front office credit analyst exists to manage the banks assets within its own risk management framework in compliance with all external regulation, helping to protect the bank from losses resulting from customer defaults.
• The front office credit analyst upholds the first line of defence for the credit risk management of a portfolio of new and existing corporate customers, in line with the banks policy and procedures.
• The front office credit analyst conducts the review of corporate credit risk and recommends accurate obligor and facility grades, so that the bank can allocate the correct amount of regulatory capital for Basel purposes.

The anticipated salary range for this role is €52,000.00 - €78,000.00, with the final offer determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, role scope, location, and relevant market factors. In addition to base salary, the role may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award and a competitive benefits package, including core benefits such as pension provision.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• Preparing high-quality credit applications with financial and industry analysis
• Monitoring a portfolio of corporate clients and identifying credit risks
• Supporting special credit reviews and assisting in structuring new transactions

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• University degree or equivalent qualification and a track record of continuous learning.
• Experience as a Corporate Credit Analyst in a bank or rating agency preferred.
• Familiarity with credit products (syndicated loans, derivatives, trade finance) and legal documentation (LMA and Bond documentation, ISDAs, CSAs, netting and credit mitigating features).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Fluent English language skills.
