Job Description
As a Business Development Account Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
• Business Development: Identify and develop high-value prospects across the Hong Kong market, targeting foreign financial institutions, hedge funds, banks, family offices, and other institutional clients. Plan and execute business development strategies to achieve annual sales targets.
• Client Engagement: Lead client roadshows, product demonstrations, training sessions, and solution presentations to build client awareness, trust, and drive user base growth.
• Full Sales Cycle Management: Manage the complete client lifecycle - from initial engagement, commercial negotiation, contract execution, tender management, and payment collection through to after-sales service - ensuring long-term, stable client partnerships.
• Greater Bay Area Bridge: Serve as a key bridge for the Greater Bay Area market, coordinating with overseas resources to support the company's global expansion strategy.
• Product Feedback Loop: Regularly collect client feedback on product features and services, providing actionable data insights to inform product iteration and development.
• Market Events & Branding: Plan and execute local marketing events in Hong Kong (e.g. industry summits, client salons), and collaborate with Hong Kong government bodies and industry associations to enhance brand visibility.
• Channel & Partnership Development: Establish and deepen partnerships with local brokers, content providers, and channel partners to expand business reach and distribution.
• Joint Marketing: Co-develop marketing initiatives with strategic partners to achieve resource sharing and mutual growth.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Development Account Manager should have:
• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in Hong Kong's financial institutions or FinTech sector; candidates with an established client network among local and foreign banks, funds, securities firms, and family offices are strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and independently achieving sales targets in the Hong Kong market.
• Strong resilience and self-motivation; comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Excellent cross-cultural communication skills; fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin for business negotiations.
• Sharp market insight with strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of financial markets with the ability to coordinate internal and external resources effectively.
