My client is an establish Chinese securities firm and currently urgently seeking for a IPO sponsor principal to be based in Hong Kong to cope with their expansion.

Job Responsibilities;

Manages and leads the execution of IPO sponsor, FA, IFA and other corporate finance transactions, including project management/coordination, due diligence and project execution.

Play a key role in deal screening and due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.

Act as the primary liaison with the risk department, assessing issues related to listing applications in IPO sponsor transactions.

Review various documents including prospectus, accountants’ reports, reorganization memos, legal opinions, listing application documents, forecasts, and financial models.

Supervises the project team; and provides guidance and support to junior staff.

Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, ECM, legal advisors, and co-sponsoring parties.

Engage with regulatory bodies such as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the SFC, managing feedback, timelines, and project logistics.

Requirements:

University degree or above in accounting or finance with professional qualifications (i.e. CPA/CFA) is preferred.

Current holder of Responsible Officer & Principal licenses registered under SFC (Type 6).

At least 8 years of experience in Investment banking, capital markets, or corporate finance, including at least 3 years of experience in Chinese/ Chinese-funded enterprises.

Good track record of successful IPO sponsor transactions.

Comprehensive understanding of investment banking and corporate finance.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal policies relevant to investment banking, along with a solid understanding of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO), regulations, and guidelines.

Independent, proactive, responsible, a good team player and willing to travel.

Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
