Your new role

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring, and related technologies.
• Build and support microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures using MQ and Kafka.
• Develop and optimise database solutions, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and high-volume data processing.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Support CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Ensure solutions follow engineering best practices, design patterns, and performance standards.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• 7-9 years of hands-on Java development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, microservices, and open-source backend technologies.
• Solid understanding of event-driven and message-based architectures, including Kafka and MQ.
• Strong SQL and database development experience, including query optimisation and stored procedures.
• Experience building high-performance, transaction-intensive applications.
• Knowledge of enterprise design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
• Experience with JavaScript/ExtJS is advantageous but not essential.
