We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Mobile Development Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile software development, testing, and automation, with a passion for DevOps and a systematic approach to solving complex problems. This role requires excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of the infrastructure that runs mobile applications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Mobile Development Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile software development, testing, and automation, with a passion for DevOps and a systematic approach to solving complex problems. This role requires excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of the infrastructure that runs mobile applications
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Independently oversee multiple projects ensuring that all functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes.
- Develop and deploy high quality software solutions using Mobile framework. Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
- Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team. Drive strategic practice development and provides technical assistance to the team.
- Provide high level estimates for large projects.
Essential Skills:
- 12+ Years of strong experience in developing production scale mobile applications.
- Strong understanding & working experience of Android Architecture like Clean Architecture principles, MVVM pattern, Repository pattern and Dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).
- Strong understanding & working experience of Android Technologies like Jetpack Compose (modern UI framework), AndroidX libraries, Gradle build system and Android Testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Kakao).
- Strong understanding & working experience of Code Quality Tools like Detekt static analysis, Android Lint, SonarQube. Strong understanding & working experience of Kotlin Programming concepts like co-routines, collections and functional programming patterns.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, build pipelines.
- Good understating of Mobile testing methodologies like Unit Testing, UI automation, snapshot coverage.
- Good understanding & experience of Monorepo applications - Product-cluster organisation, feature module boundaries, modularisation at scale.
- AI Mindset - Comfortable iterating with AI tools, knows when to trust them and when to verify; treats prompt quality as a skill.
