Job Description - Manager, Treasury Controls and Reporting

Overview

Manage bank reconciliation, accounting support, control account reconciliations and reporting activities with emphasis on accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and audit readiness of treasury records and reporting outputs.

Role Summary:

The role will be responsible for managing and overseeing treasury processes including bank reconciliations, journal entry support, cash accounting, daily and monthly treasury reporting, exception tracking, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders for timely closure of open items.

This position will support a controlled and well-documented treasury operating model by ensuring that deliverables are completed within timelines, supported by adequate evidence, and aligned with defined policies, procedures, and control requirements.

This position will work with treasury operations, controllership, banking, and reporting teams to support accounting, governance, reconciliations, reporting packs, audit requests, and process documentation for treasury back-office and treasury reporting activities.

Main Accountabilities:

• Manage treasury accounting activities to ensure cash-related transactions, balances, and supporting records are complete, accurate, and appropriately documented
• Oversee daily and monthly treasury reporting deliverables, including outstanding listings, bank data validations, reporting packs, exception summaries, and management reporting inputs
• Provide guidance and review support to team members handling treasury back-office activities, including reconciliations, journal entry preparation, report compilation, and issue follow-up
• Review and approve treasury-related journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting schedules prepared as part of back-office accounting and reporting processes
• Review monthly bank reconciliations, investigate open reconciling items, coordinate resolution with relevant teams, and retain evidence of preparation, review, and closure
• Support treasury control activities, audit requests, SOX/control evidence, process documentation, and exception tracking related to treasury back-office and treasury reporting deliverables

Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in treasury operations, accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, controllership, or related finance operations
• CA / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification preferred; accounting and reporting background will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, cash accounting, journal entries, financial reporting timelines, internal controls, and audit documentation
• Ability to manage timelines, track exceptions, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive closure of back-office and reporting deliverables
• Strong communication, review, documentation, analytical, and organizational skills

Assets:

• Working knowledge of SAP general ledger, bank reconciliation tools, treasury reporting files, and SharePoint/document repositories
• Experience in process transitions, standard operating procedures, controls documentation, and reporting governance
• Prior experience in reviewing team deliverables, resolving operational issues, and improving reporting quality and control discipline
• Exposure to North American treasury back-office processes, banking data, cash accounting, and periodic treasury reporting
• Familiarity with treasury controls, reporting calendars, audit evidence requirements, and operational risk management
