Regional Small Projects Lead - Europe - CBRE Global Workplace Solutions

Location : Delft, Netherlands

About the Role

Are you a project professional who enjoys coordinating multiple technical projects across an international environment?

As Regional Small Projects Lead - Europe, you will coordinate the planning, delivery, and oversight of small projects across a key international client's European portfolio. Working as part of the CBRE Global Workplace Solutions team, you will provide structure, governance, and technical oversight across a varied pipeline of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Your base will be in Delft, at the heart of one of the client's key innovation locations. The client operates at the intersection of nutrition, health, and beauty, with around 1,500 employees across its Dutch locations. This innovation site includes advanced laboratories, application facilities, and customer co-creation environments developed to high sustainability standards.

This role is well-suited to someone who is comfortable delivering projects in technically complex, operational, and research-focused environments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of a portfolio of small works and projects across the European client estate, from initial requirement through planning, execution, handover, and close-out.
  • Act as a primary interface between client stakeholders, CBRE teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers, translating business requirements into clearly defined and executable projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope, programme, cost, quality, risk, and operational priorities.
  • Develop project scopes, programmes, budgets, and delivery plans, and ensure appropriate governance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate contractors and suppliers and monitor their performance against agreed technical, commercial, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with CBRE and client health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, statutory standards, and applicable local regulations.
  • Review project risks, method statements, permits, and other relevant project documentation as required.
  • Maintain oversight of project budgets, quotations, purchase orders, commitments, forecasts, and final costs.
  • Provide clear and regular reporting on the regional project pipeline, including progress, financial status, risks, dependencies, and upcoming activities.
  • Work closely with local Facilities Management and Engineering teams to minimize disruption to business-critical operations during project execution.
  • Establish consistent project delivery standards and ways of working across European locations while recognizing local operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through smart procurement, improved processes, sustainability initiatives, and technical solutions.
  • Ensure completed projects are properly commissioned, documented, and handed over to operational facilities teams.
  • Build professional relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide constructive advice where project scope, budget, timelines, or operational requirements need to be reviewed.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate behaviors aligned with CBRE's RISE values.

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree, higher professional qualification, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction, Building Services, Facilities Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant project management experience, managing multiple small-to-medium technical or facilities projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including scope development, planning, procurement, execution, cost control, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
  • Strong experience managing contractors, suppliers, and technical service providers.
  • Good working knowledge of HSE, risk management, and contractor control within technical project environments.
  • Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, quotations, forecasts, and cost control.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of concurrent projects and prioritize effectively when operational requirements compete for resources.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work with stakeholders from site level through to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into clear information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to project governance, documentation, risk, and reporting.
  • Professional fluency in English, as the position operates across a European portfolio.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Europe as required by the project portfolio.

Our offer:

  • Competitive salary, depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • 37 days of annual leave (25 vacation days plus 12 ADV days), with the option to purchase up to 10 additional vacation days.
  • Excellent pension scheme.
  • Contribution towards your gym or sports membership.
  • Bicycle purchase scheme
  • Travel Allowance
  • 8.33% holiday allowance, with the option to have it paid out monthly.
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities through the GWS Academy and external training providers.
  • Internal career progression opportunities and strong long-term career prospects.

Please note that applicants must already have the legal right to work in the European Union. Applications from candidates requiring sponsorship from outside the EU will not be considered.
