Account Manager
We are recruiting an
Account Manager to lead our European Space Agency (ESA) hard services contract at the
European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk . This is one of our largest contracts in the Netherlands and one of the most significant in the European CBRE GWS Local business.
What you will do:
- Own the profit and loss (P&L) and the commercial performance of the ESA contract, one of the largest in the Business Unit;
- Lead the site team through the flat Business Unit structure, staying close to the client and empowered to make quick, accountable decisions;
- Deliver hard services-led, technical self-performance facilities management to the standard the client expects, with strong first-time-fix rates and asset performance.
- Grow the account across all three revenue streams: base contract, extra works and principal projects;
- Act as the single point of contact for the client and build an intimate, trust-based relationship rooted in quality service and added value;
- Own quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) on site, including ISO 45001 practices, statutory compliance and the A-Z rules, with safety as a non-negotiable.
- Run monthly contract reviews through Account IQ (AIQ) and hold thorough S1 and O1 reviews with effective governance;
- Recruit, develop and retain skilled technical talent, with development plans, succession plans and regular recognition in place;
- Embody the CBRE RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) and the GWS | Local leadership behaviours every day;
- Contribute to the Northern Europe growth plan and the wider GWS | Local strategy.
What we are looking for:
- Proven facilities management leadership, ideally in a hard services-led, technical self-performance model;
- Expert level logical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment ownership and commercial acumen, including experience of extra works and projects;
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, men-toring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred;
- Senior client relationship management, with a track record of client care and added value.
- QHSE leadership in a complex or safety-critical environment;
- Experience in technical, engineering, scientific or mission-critical facilities, which is a strong advantage;
- Readiness to relocate to the Netherlands and lead a site-based, international contract;
- English is essential, as all site communication is in English. Dutch is preferred but not essential.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead sensitive, complicated, and difficult conversations, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and the department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
What can you expect from us?
- Base salary between € 83.200 and € 138.606 gross per year (depending on knowledge and experience)
- Performance bonus of up to 30% of your annual salary
