As part of the Next Generation Trainee Program at CBRE IA&R, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, learn from industry experts and specialists, and gain meaningful work experience during your time at CBRE. The supportive training plan of the program will promote your rapid development. You will also gain valuable insights into how we support our clients and which will help you deepen your knowledge of real estate, accounting, finance, and related areas.

Internship Overview

This internship sits within our CBRE Investment, Accounting and Reporting Solutions (CBRE IA&R) business line within CBRE. At CBRE IA&R, our mission is to be the leading provider of integrated fund and real estate accounting, administration, and data management services, create exceptional value for our clients and people and drive transformation across the global real estate landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Support Operational Control Assurance activities by helping maintain accurate control information and contributing to the smooth coordination of recurring control processes.
• Assist with organizing and prioritizing control-related inquiries, gaining exposure to how risks, issues and stakeholder requests are managed in a professional assurance environment.
• Help coordinate team communications and follow-ups, supporting timely responses and effective collaboration across Operational Control Assurance stakeholders.
• Learn how assurance reporting is coordinated by supporting the preparation of structured communications and recurring requests to internal teams.
• Contribute to control scoping and completeness activities by helping review information, identify potential gaps and summarize observations for team review.
• Support issue and remediation tracking by helping monitor progress, maintain clear status updates and promote timely follow-up on agreed actions.
• Help strengthen data quality within control-related processes by reviewing completeness, consistency and accuracy of key information used for assurance reporting.
• Build professional relationships with internal stakeholders and support timely, service-oriented communication.
• Contribute to project groups and new initiatives, gaining exposure to how process improvements are planned and delivered.

What we are looking for:

• A forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for accounting and finance
• Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and proactive with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail, accuracy and good time management
• Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
