Ant International-Web3 MLRO-A&I
Job description
Ant International is building a dedicated Web3 Hub focused on AML compliance, and this role is the founding hire for that function. You'll design and stand up the AML framework for our Web3 products, adapting our existing global standards to fit an entirely new business line.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll work closely with the Head of Business AML on strategy and priorities, based in Singapore.
What You'll Own
- Serve as the primary point of contact with regulators, managing reporting obligations and ensuring compliance with applicable AML laws and standards
- Design and implement AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls for Web3 products and services, in partnership with internal stakeholders
- Track regulatory developments and advise the business accordingly, keeping controls and audit readiness current
- Run day-to-day risk operations: blockchain transaction monitoring, wallet screening, customer risk assessment, and suspicious activity reporting
- Evaluate and integrate specialized Web3 risk management tools, including blockchain analytics and on-chain forensics platforms
- Partner with product, engineering, and legal teams to embed compliance into product design and build shared understanding of Web3-specific risks
Job Requirement
What You Bring
- Experience operating in start-up or early-stage environments, comfortable building processes and structure without an existing template
- Strong grounding in AML/CFT regulation (KYC, EDD, SARs) and a clear understanding of how it applies within Web3 and regulated stablecoin environments
- Genuine, substantive knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and the broader Web3 ecosystem
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work through compliance questions that don't have established precedent
Nice to Have
- Direct experience engaging with regulators on Web3-related matters
- Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM Labs
- Background in compliance, risk, or legal roles at a crypto-native company (exchange, wallet, or DeFi protocol)
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks for digital assets (FATF guidelines, MiCA, US regulations)
