Responsibilities:
As a key member of the trading team, you are responsible for developing the international commodities business, setting up new platform for trading, and managing cross-border trading activities. This includes establishing concrete business plan, onboarding brokers, and trading counterparties, managing trading position and risk, managing daily trading P&L, and working with other functions on new product approvals. You will work closely with the sales team in promoting products. You will also be training and coaching a junior trader to ensure that market understanding and trading regulatory are up to date.
Requirements:
The successful candidate has strong academic qualifications and over 7 years of relevant experience in trading commodity products. You have deep understanding of the international commodity trading markets are well versed in regulatory requirements in trading activities. You enjoy leading a team and are capable of supervising and training junior traders. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties. You are a driven, results-focused, and entrepreneurial individual who is able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
