Your Role

Our Asia Life/Health unit is looking for an energetic and dynamic Marketing Actuary to grow our business in the ASEAN region, with a particular focus on Vietnam and other markets in Mainland Southeast Asia. You will serve as an account manager for your assigned clients and territories, managing the full deal cycle from identifying opportunities and developing proposals to negotiating and closing contracts. In this role, you will build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, including Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), chief actuaries, heads of product, and underwriting managers.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Gen Re's market strategy for your assigned territories
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments to identify new business opportunities
• Partner with clients on product development from concept to launch
• Prepare reinsurance quotations and perform product pricing in line with our guidelines
• Negotiate and draft reinsurance contracts
• Monitor the performance of assigned in-force portfolio, including premiums, profitability, and claims experience
• Build strong client relationships and strengthen Gen Re's market presence
• Contribute to regional and international projects

Your Profile

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary
• At least 5 years' experience in life insurance or reinsurance company
• Experience in or knowledge of the Vietnamese life insurance market is an advantage
• Proficient in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken. English is the primary working language, while Vietnamese is required for effective communication and relationship management with external stakeholders.
• Willing and able to travel regularly for business
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
