We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to support a 3-month project focused on maintaining reliable day-to-day operations across technology platforms and services.
The role will focus on production support, incident management, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and operational improvement, working closely with technical and business stakeholders.
Candidates who are available to start at short notice will be prioritised.
The Role
- Monitor and support the day-to-day operation and performance of systems and services
- Participate in incident and escalation management, including troubleshooting, resolution and root cause analysis
- Support customer service and technical teams during operational incidents
- Develop scripts, tools and automation to prevent recurring issues and improve operational efficiency
- Identify process improvements and maintain relevant SOPs and operational documentation
- Monitor operational KPIs, service metrics and performance trends, providing relevant reporting and insights
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Support and Business Operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Identify operational risks and support appropriate mitigation, governance and compliance activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement across monitoring, support and operational processes
Your Profile:
- 5+ years' experience in Technical Operations, IT Operations, Systems Support, Data Operations or a related role
- Strong experience supporting production environments and managing technical incidents
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or ELK
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Shell or similar, with .NET/Java/JavaScript experience advantageous
- Good SQL skills and experience working with Excel or other data analysis tools
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with ticketing, incident management and operational support tools
- Experience with automation and process improvement
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile or DevOps methodologies
- Fluent Mandarin and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Available to start at short notice for a 3-month contract
