Key responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior consolidation SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting Subject Matter Expert to join our Group Finance Technology organisation. You will become part of an experienced team responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation, and support of enterprise-wide financial consolidation and reporting capabilities within SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
We are seeking an industry expert who combines deep expertise in consolidation processes, financial accounting, regulatory reporting and SAP technology with strong stakeholder management and delivery skills. Your role operates at the intersection of international finance teams, external consultants, and internal IT teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient consolidation solutions.
You will be working within an Agile and AI-enabled delivery environment at the forefront of the latest SAP consolidation and reporting technologies. You will play a key role in shaping the future finance technology landscape at UBS by implementing consolidation and regulatory reporting processes, driving standardisation, automation, data quality improvements, and continuous innovation across group consolidation and reporting processes.

Consolidation and Financial Reporting
• Act as a key subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting and group consolidation processes.
• Design, implement and optimise end-to-end consolidation solutions in accordance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP, including balance sheet and P&L consolidation, capital consolidation, intercompany eliminations, ownership hierarchies, and internal and external reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of consolidation and financial reporting processes in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes from both business and systems perspectives.
• Collaborate with Group Finance and business stakeholders to translate consolidation and reporting requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

SAP Solution Design and Delivery
• Lead functional and technical design activities within SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, technical designs, enhancements, and system configurations.
• Define and maintain consolidation data models, reporting structures, mappings, business rules, and consolidation logic.
• Design, configure, and support SAP Group Reporting processes, including data collection, validations, consolidation monitors, reporting units, and consolidation units.
• Design and implement interfaces between Group Reporting, General Ledger, FPSL, GRDC and data lake instances
• Be familiar with the SAP Group Reporting roadmap and experience in working with the SAP product management team
• Design and code ABAP developments, enhancements, user exits, interfaces, APIs, and integration solutions supporting consolidation and reporting processes.
• Support automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual effort, improving controls, and accelerating financial close processes.
• Ensure high-quality integration, reconciliation, monitoring, exception handling, and operational support processes.
• Support root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities across finance technology platforms.

You'll be working within UBS Finance Technology, joining a global dynamic scrum team of Business & Technical Analysts. We are supporting local and global projects for various business units of UBS AG. Our mission: to find solutions for strategic business challenges, analysis of current processes and functionalities, implementing best in class solutions for customers and UBS business.

Your skills and experience

Consolidation and Finance Expertise
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting in implementation, enhancement, and support environments.
• Strong understanding of Group Reporting architecture, consolidation monitors, consolidation rules, reporting structures, ownership management, and consolidation data models.
• Experience migrating or transforming consolidation platforms from SAP BPC, SAP BCS, or similar consolidation applications to SAP Group Reporting.
• Deep understanding of financial consolidation concepts, including:
• Intercompany eliminations
• Ownership and equity consolidation
• Foreign currency translation
• Consolidation of investments
• Financial close processes
• Regulatory and management reporting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and enterprise financial reporting practices in an international setting, ideally experienced in FINMA or SNB reportings

Technical Skills
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance integration architecture and related finance solutions.
• Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, source system onboarding, data transformations, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience supporting interfaces across finance systems, reporting platforms, and consolidation applications.
• Experience with financial reporting design, SAP reporting solutions (BEx), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Experience with automated testing, anomaly detection and close process automation, ideally with AI support.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of SAP BW, GL, FPSL, MDG, and / or data lake solutions.
• Ideally, you're experienced or willing to learn ABAP development, including enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, reports, interfaces, APIs, and performance optimisation.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience delivering consolidation, financial reporting, and Finance Technology solutions, including significant experience with SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting and predecessor platforms such as SAP BPC or SAP BCS.
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or highly regulated industry environments.
• Experience working in an agile delivery organization
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
