Our client a leading global asset manager is looking for a dynamic, creative and experienced Public Relations Manager to join their London office. This role primarily manages the day-to-day engagement with our local PR agency partners across Europe and any journalist’s requests that come to the team directly.

Key responsibilities

  • Can hit the ground running / good ideas / understanding the Media environment
  • Ensure day to day agency running smoothly and flag issues early
  • Send written content to PR agencies and monitor the use of said content
  • Draft initial Q&A responses to requests from either agencies or journalists
  • Draft press releases
  • Review straight forward articles/comment drafted by the PR agencies
  • Help with prioritisation in the absence of the head of team
  • Help draft internal PR plans
  • Manage the monitoring of media articles via the media cutting agency
  • Sign off article ideas / pitches from agencies
  • Host meeting either in person or on the telephone
  • Stand-in for the head of Public Relations EMEA in their absence
  • Guide other members of the team with day-to-day queries

 

Role requirements

  • The position requires the ability to apply a common sense approach to answering requests
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet short-term deadlines
  • Previous experience of working either in-house or at a public relations agency is beneficial
  • An understanding of the asset management industry and financial issues
  • Excellent communication and writing skills are a necessity for this role
