This proprietary trading firm has seen 20 years of success without taking the bait to rapidly expand, having found the key to their continued success in keeping a streamlined, highly-collaborative team (currently ~35) of like-minded people driven by solving complex problems with novel approaches.
The novel apporaches in question focus on developing and using some of the most sophisticated machine learning techniques in the world and has placed them firmly as a market leader in their space. They use this in conjunction with algorithmic trading strategies to trade futures on a number of exchanges.
The Team:
You will join the small, cross-disciplined team of eight developers that shares one pool of work building the firm's entire proprietary tech stack, predominantly in Java.
You will work closely with the quant and trading teams to build production trading applications, tools, and user interfaces. However, the key focus for this hire is their low latency trading platform with direct trading venue connectivity.

You will need...
- 2+ years professional Java programming experience (Python, JavaScript is a bonus)
- Experience working with trading platforms, Low Latency systems or other similar high performance systems highly desirable but not obligatory
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Computer Science degree
