Job Description



The North America Partnership Organization is responsible for building an ecosystem that expands Visa's market awareness, accelerates demand creation, and improves win rates through strategic influence channels.



The Sr. Manager, Consulting & Market Advisory Partnerships will develop and manage relationships with consulting firms, advisory organizations, and market influencers that shape issuer buying decisions, technology investments, and vendor selection processes.



This role is responsible for positioning Visa as a preferred partner within the consulting ecosystem, increasing referral opportunities, influencing RFP outcomes, and creating earlier engagement in client transformation initiatives.



The ideal candidate combines business development, partner management, and consultative selling skills with the ability to engage industry advisors and influence strategic recommendations across the financial services marketplace.




Essential Functions:



  • Own Visa's consulting and advisory partner strategy Develop and execute a framework for engaging firms that influence issuer technology and payments decisions.

  • Build executive relationships throughout the consulting ecosystem Establish trusted relationships with leaders across consulting, advisory, and industry analyst organizations.

  • Increase Visa's influence in client buying processes Position Visa solutions earlier in client transformation discussions, technology evaluations, and strategic initiatives.

  • Develop referral and opportunity creation programs Build structured engagement models that generate qualified opportunities and measurable pipeline impact.

  • Educate advisors on Visa capabilities Ensure consultants and advisors understand Visa's portfolio, value propositions, and market differentiation.

  • Drive consulting-led opportunity identification Partner with sales teams to pursue opportunities generated through consulting and advisory channels.

  • Support RFP strategy and competitive positioning Improve Visa's visibility and positioning with firms that influence vendor shortlists and selection decisions.

  • Coordinate thought leadership activities Lead workshops, industry events, executive briefings, content development, and market education initiatives.

  • Track ecosystem impact and performance Measure referrals, influenced pipeline, win rates, consultant engagement, and revenue contribution.

  • Serve as the voice of the market Provide insights from consulting partners regarding emerging trends, competitive positioning, and evolving client priorities.



Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.




Qualifications




Basic Qualifications:



  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD




Preferred Qualifications:



  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

  • 8+ years in consulting partnerships, business development, alliances, payments, fintech, professional services, or technology

  • Existing relationships with firms such as PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Oliver Wyman, McKinsey, Cornerstone, SRM, and similar organizations

  • Experience influencing complex enterprise buying decisions

  • Strong executive communication and relationship management skills

  • Demonstrated success generating referral-based pipeline and strategic opportunities

  • Knowledge of financial services, payments, issuer operations, fraud, digital banking, or fintech ecosystems




Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $130,600 to $221,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). If you are located in Colorado, the estimated salary range for this position is $ to $ USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.




Work Hours



Varies upon the needs of the department.




Travel Requirements



This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.




Mental/Physical Requirements



This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
