Lead, Infra Middleware

The Northern Trust Company seeks a Lead, Infra Middleware to handle multiple technology products that bridge applications and infrastructure. Implement business intelligence software and software configuration management tools. Conduct preliminary analysis for specialized software solutions. Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems. Conduct systems integration and construct middleware tools and frameworks. Identify and solve problems and ensure service restoration.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field and 3 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience must include a minimum of: 3 years of experience with programming analysis and systems design; 3 years of experience with coding and debugging software applications; 3 years of experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and ongoing monitoring; 3 years of experience with operational maintenance and support to software systems; 3 years of experience with conducting preliminary analysis for technology products; and 3 years of experience with automation scripts, C++, Confluent Kafka admin and development, ETL/Datastage, GIT& CI/CD, Java, JavaScript, Oracle Database 11g or higher, PL/SQL, scripting language, SQL, and Unix shell. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Part time telecommuting may be permitted.
