Asset Servicing Technology team: BNY Mellon AssetServicing provides global solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique needsto help enhance the management, administration and oversight of their entireinvestment process and deliver the tools they need to expand their ability toprocess, monitor and measure investment data from around the world.

Our team provides key technology solutions on a mainframe platformfor our clients. We build, maintain and support a full suite of in-housedeveloped systems covering order processing, trading, clearance and settlement,books and records, reporting and regulatory systems. We are currentlyrecruiting for a developer in our Westborough development team to meet thebusiness projects for 2020 and beyond.

Overview of the Role

As a developer on our team, you will be working closely withcolleagues across the Technology department and with our end-users across thefull software development lifecycle. We work in an iterative process, usingWaterfall methodologies to deliver solutions with the necessary controlsrequired as a global financial organization.

We need someone who:

• Enjoys delivering highly complex, scalable and robustsolutions.

• Experience within financial services industry (mutual fund knowledge is a plus)

• Is looking to work in a team focused on continuousintegration, improvement and learning

• Will contribute to developing the technology road map forthe team - both functionally and technically

• An effective communicator, work alongside and collaborateacross technology teams

• Understands development and quality standards, risk averse,and ensures strict adherence to them

• Encourages innovation and creativity in technologysolutions

• Stays up to date with current trends and new technologies

Technical Knowledge

Strongly Preferred

• Hands-on experience with COBOL, VSAM,DB2, JCL

Extensiveexperience with CICS and goodexperience needed in SQL

• Experience of the full development lifecycle

• Understanding and experience of engineering practices suchas unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, appropriate documentation,and structured code review and walk thru


• Experience/exposure to Java

• Knowledge/Experience with transmission protocols: MQ onmainframe platform, TCP/IP

• Experience of developing software in a regulated businessenvironment

• Experience of using test driven and automated testingtechniques

• Experience working and delivering across a multi-locationteam
