Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global commodities group seeking a public relations manager for their offices in New York.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • In charge of developing and managing the public relations (PR) and corporate communications strategy for the US market to establish and promote a strong corporate reputation of a truly global, innovative engineering and commodities brand
  • Ensure and maintain a positive corporate image and handle all business-to-business (B2B) corporate communications as well as media and investor relations
  • Set the strategy and promote the company’s commitment in relation to environmental, technological, people and humanitarian issues. Additionally, taking charge of the crisis communications (if and when required) as well as handling the internal communications
  • Liaise with the Global Corporate Communications Director to continuously enhance corporate, brand, and product messaging and communications
  • Reports into the Global Corporate Communications Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • At least 10 years of work experience in public relations (PR) and corporate communications (B2B) for the US market; experience handling projects for corporates from Asia or other emerging markets (e.g. Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey) is highly desired
  • Experience working for a global PR agency on commodities projects or current/recent experience at a commodities majors (preferably within energy – oil and gas; or metals or mining) or alternatively a background in the finance, IT or digital industry
  • Excellent relationships with the media and in the international investor community as well as a good understanding of macroeconomics; knowledge of the international commodities markets (energy, metals or mining) advantageous
  • Outstanding communications, strategic and analytical skills, creative and not afraid of challenges
  • Located in New York or happy to relocate to New York within the US (US citizenship or US Green Card required)
