Dubai based Prop Trading firm are seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Sports Betting Compliance Officer to oversee their global wagering operations. In this role, you will design, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks to ensure our trading strategies align with jurisdictional laws, sportsbook terms of service, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. You will work closely with quants, traders, and legal teams to mitigate regulatory risks while enabling agile trading strategies.

Core Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and interpret evolving sports betting regulations across key jurisdictions (e.g., US states, UKGC, MGA, and licensed jurisdictions in Europe and Asia).
2. Account & Bookmaker Management: Manage the compliance health of corporate betting accounts, ensuring strict adherence to sportsbook Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) to prevent account restrictions or bans.
3. Risk Monitoring: Conduct real-time and post-trade monitoring of betting flows to detect potential market manipulation, courtsiding, or insider trading anomalies.
4. AML & KYC Compliance: Maintain robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) frameworks tailored to high-volume corporate wagering.
5. Algorithmic Guardrails: Collaborate with developers to implement automated compliance checks within proprietary execution algorithms (e.g., maximum stake limits, rapid-fire bet throttling).
6. Reporting & Auditing: Prepare regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and suspicious activity reports (SARs) for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Experience: Commercial experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within a proprietary trading firm, sports betting operator, or gaming regulatory body .
2. Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of sports betting markets (exchanges vs. sharp/soft bookmakers) and standard betting mechanics (in-play betting, cash-outs, voids).
3. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) to analyze large sets of transactional wagering data.
4. Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate vague or fast-changing regulatory landscapes and translate them into concrete operational guidelines for trading desks.
