Location: Portsmouth or Christchurch (Hybrid working may be available once you are fully competent in the role and confidently settled into this position)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our HR - Payroll & Benefits team and support the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll across the UK and Spain.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems and collaborating with HR, Finance and external payroll providers in an international environment.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the end-to-end processing of UK and Spain payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Preparing and validating payroll changes, reconciliations and payroll variance checks
• Working closely with outsourced payroll providers to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Ensuring payroll processes remain compliant with relevant legislation and statutory requirements
• Supporting benefits and pension administration
• Responding to and resolving employee payroll and benefits queries, providing a high level of customer service
• Maintaining accurate payroll documentation, processes and SOPs
• Producing payroll reports and supporting wider HR and Finance reporting requirements
• Contributing to payroll projects, process improvements and initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Working collaboratively with HR, Finance and other internal stakeholders across the business.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

• 3 + years UK payroll knowledge (UK payroll knowledge is essential)
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation and statutory requirements
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and data issues
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with sensitive data
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

• Experience or knowledge of Spanish payroll
• CIPP qualification at Level 3 or above
• Experience supporting benefits and pension administration
• Experience working within an international or multi-country payroll environment
• Spanish language skills are not required, although experience with Spanish payroll would be a bonus
