A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Reporting Partner to join a high-growth, private equity-backed accounting firm in Central London.

This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to join the business at an exciting stage of its growth and play a significant role in shaping and developing its Financial Reporting offering.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates from a Big 4 or Top 10 background who have a strong technical foundation, a commercial mindset and the ambition to build something within a rapidly evolving professional services environment.

The Opportunity

The firm has experienced significant growth and is continuing to expand its service offering and client base. As part of this next phase, the business is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Partner who can provide senior technical leadership while helping to develop and scale the firm's offering.

This is not simply a technical oversight role. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team, influence the strategic direction of the service line and help build the infrastructure, processes and proposition required to support continued growth.

You'll work with an interesting and entrepreneurial client base, advising businesses through different stages of their growth and providing high-quality financial reporting and accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

• Take senior leadership responsibility for the firm's Financial Reporting offering.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients on complex financial reporting and accounting matters.
• Provide technical expertise across UK GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Lead and oversee complex financial reporting assignments, ensuring consistently high-quality delivery.
• Support clients with technical accounting matters, including transactions, acquisitions, restructurings and other significant events.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including CFOs, Finance Directors and other members of the leadership team.
• Work closely with the firm's Partners and senior leadership team to develop the Financial Reporting strategy.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and introduce complementary services.
• Play a significant role in business development, networking and winning new work.
• Develop and strengthen the firm's market proposition and profile within Financial Reporting.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to the wider team.
• Help build scalable processes, methodologies and quality frameworks as the business continues to grow.
• Support the integration and development of new teams, clients and service lines as the firm expands.
• Contribute to the firm's wider commercial and strategic agenda as a member of the senior leadership team.

About You

We're looking for an established Financial Reporting or Technical Accounting professional who is ready to take on a genuinely influential leadership position.

You are likely to have:

• A strong background in Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting or Accounting Advisory.
• Significant experience gained within a Big 4, Top 10 or similarly high-quality professional services environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience advising clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how technical advice translates into practical business outcomes.
