Our client, an investment firm in New York, is hiring a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and operational control, and to keep improving processes across several entities.

Multi-subsidiary experience is a must!

Multi-currency experience is a must!

Responsibilities

1. Take part in the monthly close, preparing reconciliations and management and quarterly reports, along with US GAAP reporting for the firm and its subsidiaries
2. Keep the general ledger accurate and complete through journal entries and cash booking
3. Improve accounts payable workflows, from invoice handling and expense reimbursement to paying vendors and reconciling payables
4. Oversee treasury activity by reconciling cash and producing daily cash reporting
5. Draft standard and non-standard entries at month end for review: fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, prepaids, deferred revenue and accruals
6. Monitor and review internal controls
7. Help adopt new technology that speeds up the monthly close

Requirements

1. NetSuite experience highly preferred
2. 5+ years of accounting experience, progressively more senior
3. Undergraduate degree in a field such as accounting, finance or a related discipline
4. Solid command of technical accounting and US GAAP
5. Excellent communication; able to work with other departments, including remotely
6. Track record of hitting deadlines while producing accurate financials
7. Experience using AI and other technology to automate workflows

Preferred

1. CPA certification preferred
2. A plus: exposure to finance operations or accounts payable
