Job Description

The Senior Technical Account Manager will serve as the primary technical liaison for external banks, PTFs, and buy-side clients, driving the design, implementation, and support of Cantor Fitzgerald's proprietary binary and FIX APIs across multiple regions. Working closely with sales, product specialists, and internal development teams, you will manage pre-sales scoping, post-sales rollout, and ongoing technical enhancements, ensuring seamless e-trading and straight-through processing integrations while acting as the escalation point for complex client issues.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and product specialists to identify, qualify, and expand revenue opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive integration plans with clients for multi-region deployment of APIs and financial products.
• Provide technical and development support for binary/FIX APIs covering market data, order entry, and STP.
• Coordinate release, testing, and rollout of new API versions and enhancements with clients and internal teams.
• Serve as 3rd-level support for production issues, troubleshooting integration problems and ensuring resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client technology teams across vertical and horizontal functions.
• Gather client feedback, translate requirements into actionable product enhancements, and liaise with development.
• Document procedures, create training materials, and educate clients on product usage.
• Manage multiple integration projects simultaneously while maintaining focus and composure under pressure.
• Collaborate with external software vendors to ensure seamless connectivity and integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a financial institution or fintech firm with client-facing responsibilities.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with FIX protocol implementations.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, front/middle/back-office systems, and trading workflows.
• Experience with third-party trading software, connectivity vendors, and VeriFIX or similar testing tools.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Proven ability to prioritize, own tasks, and maintain attention to detail across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and within teams.
• Self-starter with a proactive, adaptable attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Demonstrated success in pre-sales scoping and post-sales technical support for API integrations.
• Ability to document requirements, create training content, and convey technical concepts clearly.

Compensation Expectations: $160-170kbase
