Finance is viewed as a key business partner, and the successful candidate will work closely with an impressive CFO and leadership team to help shape the next phase of the company's journey.
The business operates a hybrid model with an expectation of approximately four days per week in the office.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, this Financial Controller position has broad responsibility across financial control, governance, reporting and business improvement.
You'll lead a small team while remaining hands-on in the detail, ensuring the finance function can support a business undergoing significant growth and change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading month-end, year-end and statutory reporting processes
- Managing external audit, tax compliance and regulatory obligations
- Producing management reporting, board reporting and financial analysis
- Driving cashflow forecasting, balance sheet management and financial controls
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
- Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial outcomes
- Developing finance processes, systems and reporting capability
- Supporting strategic projects, growth initiatives and business transformation activities
- Coaching and developing a small finance team
- Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, automation and process effectiveness
Experience Required:
- CA qualified with an audit-trained background
- Proven Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Manager experience
- Strong technical accounting, reporting and regulatory knowledge
- Experience operating in a growing or evolving business environment
- Track record improving processes, systems and controls
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with strategic involvement
