Role Summary
Join a major international private bank as an Investment Counsellor, serving Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and International high-net-worth clients. This role combines investment advisory and integrated wealth management expertise, positioning you as a trusted partner to Relationship Managers in delivering sophisticated portfolio solutions and investment guidance to multi-jurisdiction entrepreneurs, families, and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or co-lead investment conversations with NRI and International HNW/UHNW clients, translating institutional market views into tailored, client-appropriate recommendations.
- Construct and manage portfolios across discretionary and advisory mandates, ensuring alignment with client risk profiles, liquidity requirements, and cross-border considerations.
- Develop and shape investment product strategy including funds, alternative investments, structured products, and FX overlay solutions in collaboration with specialists and trading desks.
- Maintain rigorous suitability, disclosure, and documentation standards in accordance with Hong Kong private banking regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor market conditions and portfolio holdings, proactively identifying rebalancing opportunities and risk mitigation strategies for RM partners.
- Support investment reviews, RFPs, and pitch materials that strengthen and deepen client relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, wealth planning, and specialist teams where investment solutions intersect lending or structuring requirements.
Team & Reporting Line
You will work closely with Relationship Managers and sit at the intersection of front-office client engagement and back-office product expertise, collaborating across a scaled Asia private banking platform with institutional-grade capabilities.
Location & Work Mode
Hong Kong-based role with a focus on serving NRI and International clients rather than a China-only mandate, requiring active participation in client meetings and front-office collaboration.
