US investment bank opens new Paris office, hires Credit Suisse man to front it
If you’re a US middle market bank looking to expand your European sales footprint, there are worse places to look than the scores of ex-Credit Suisse professionals still looking for work (or waiting to get axed) on the continent.

Ben Allen joined Piper Sandler last week to be the firm’s head of sales and trading for Europe, based out of Paris. He left Credit Suisse in just August of last year, after 15 years in its equity sales team on the continent.
Allen will be joined by some familiar faces. Brent Robbins and Alan Brodsky, both Credit Suisse equities veterans, joined Piper Sandler in its London and New York offices, respectively. And Allen’s team in Paris is already looking to hire juniors, including an equities sales & trading associate. English and French are mandatory, while knowledge of Scandinavian language is “desirable”.
Piper Sandler is, more broadly, making a big European push. It launched its Zurich office last week, with Credit Suisse people leading the charge: Luigi Colazzo, Alex Molloy, and Vincenzo Pescuma. The Zurich office is focused on the “sales and distribution of Piper Sandler’s U.S. equity research and trading products to Swiss based clients,” the firm said.
